Sarah Bragg

Sarah Bragg is from Detroit, MI and majored in Psychology with a concentration in Community & Global Health. She is interested in the ways that behavior and social determinants of health affect health outcomes, particularly for marginalized groups. During her internship with the CDC, she completed her senior thesis exploring barriers and solutions to HIV testing among college students. She was recently admitted into Temple University's MPH program for social and behavioral sciences, but has since deferred admission to pursue a post-bacc fellowship with the CDC. She is currently awaiting an offer for said fellowship.

Janelle Grant

Janelle Grant graduated with a BA in Psychology and Religion. Currently, Janelle is working as an Editorial Assistant at WE Upjohn Institute for Employment Research for their peer reviewed journal, Economic Development Quarterly. 

Janay Johnson

Janay Johnson graduated with a BA in Psychology. After graduating from K, Janay became a research assistant with the MUMD project at Michigan State. She is planning to apply to graduate school starting Fall 2018 in pursuit of a PhD in Developmental Psychology. Janay's research interests include the investigation of health disparities in marginalized populations such as African Americans, children, and women. She is also interested in ways to implement programs to increase awareness, prevention and institute programs for those affected by substance use and eating disorders. 

Brandon Johnson-Smith

Brandon Johnson-Smith graduated with a BA in Psychology. He plans to spend a few years in Germany playing football. Brandon would like to go back to school and obtain his Masters degree in the future. 

Rachel Lifton

Rachel Lifton graduated with a BA in Psychology. She is currently taking a gap year and living in Tucson, Arizona to take a break from classes and get real world experience working in the school system where she intends to later pursue her career. Rachel will be working as a teaching assistant at a Montessori elementary school, expanding her knowledge and experience working with young children. She also plans to work with a professor at the University of Arizona on her research on the socioemotional development of preschoolers and early interventions to promote such development. Rachel intends on applying to a school psychology graduate school program (Ed.S or Ph.D) in order to pursue a career as a school psychologist. 

Wendy Rubio

Wendy Rubio is a senior at Kalamazoo College double majoring in Psychology and Religious Studies. She was born and raised in San Francisco, California and moved out of California to attend college in the Midwest. Her research interest is through a social justice lens. For instance, she is interested in how race affects sexual relationships. Moreover, she is interested in how religion has an impact on sexual relationships/interactions. Some of the extracurricular activities she is part of are being a student fellow at the Arcus Center for Social Justice and Leadership at Kalamazoo College. She is also a member of the school organization called M.E.Ch.A. de Kzoo (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlan) and is the undergraduate lab manager for Dr.Day Fletcher’s research lab.
